Find your happy, everyday.

It all began with finding MY HAPPY.

Everyday, I start my day with listing at least 3 things that made me happy within the last 24 hours. Somedays, it’s easy peasy, but, somedays, it takes some thinking time but they eventually find their way into my thoughts. This morning’s list~ cozy Friday nights, my health, and my cinnamon tea. Your list doesn’t have to be deep. Keep it light so you notice the little things in life that make you smile.

At the beginning of every one of my kids’ yoga classes, the children name 1 thing that made them smile that day. At first, it is always hard for them to come up with 1, but, by their fourth class with me, they list about 6. :)

There are times when they want to share their UNhappy from the day. They can only tell me their UNhappy if they found a way to make it a happy or tell me the lesson they learned. We talk about how bad things happen during the day but those UNhappies only last about 5 min of the day and the rest of the day are happy or neutral things.

The purpose is to focus on the positive of the day and not the negative. It will transform you into a positive, happy human being. :)
